I am in love with The Shirt Dress as it is such a useful, versatile and seasonal piece that is essential to your wardrobe.
This little number is a great summer option, as most shirt dresses are made of cotton or lighter, more breathable fabric. So, all you would need to pair with your shirt dress, is either simple flats or sneakers and a stylish (maybe oversized) handbag for a casual effortless look. Or, if you want to wear it slightly smarter just throw on some wedges just like i have.
It is also very easily layered with other clothing so could be an Autumn outfit option as well, and worn with leggings, boots, a jacket and scarf.
The shirt dress in my opinion, is mainly for casual wear, but can come in all different shapes, and fabrics. So, if it is a slightly smarter, more structured dress, it could also be corporate wear, and provide you with a very professional and chic look, especially when belted (with a waist belt), and worn with a good pair of heels.
So, this versatile piece can be worn to achieve a casual, slouchy, sunday look, or it can be worn to the office, to help you conquer the world and feel like the powerful driven women you are, all at the same time.
